Obituary of Cooling, Wendy Carolyn
The death occurred surrounded by her loving family at her late residence on Friday, October 14th , 2011 of Wendy Carolyn Cooling ( nee Milligan ) of Summerside and formerly of Poplar Grove, P.E.I. , aged 66 years. Wendy was born on September 25th , 1945 in Poplar Grove, P.E.I. to her late parents George and Ada Mae ( nee Murphy ) Milligan .
Beloved wife of Howard Roland Cooling and loving mother of Paula ( Michael ) Trowsdale of Bideford and Charles 'Chuck' Howell of Summerside. Also lovingly remembered by her step-children Randy ( Effie ) Cooling of Barrie, ON. and Scott ( Kathy ) Cooling of Northam, P.E.I. , her 9 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Survived by the following brothers and sisters : Jean ( Fenton ) Boylan of Summerside, Rena Hawkins ( Ed ) of Freeland, Carl ( Pearl ) Milligan of Porters Lake, N.S., Elva Geldart of Debert, N.S., Jennie ( Elmer ) Simmons of Summerside, Goldie ( Hal ) Coughlin of Poplar Grove, Glenda ( Vaughan ) Webb of Southerlands, N.S. and sister-in-law Heather Milligan.
Besides her parents, Wendy was predeceased by her sister Georgie ( Charlie ) Cox, brother Kenny Milligan and brother-in-law Howard Geldart.
Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Road, Summerside until Tuesday, October 18th for a funeral service in the funeral home chapel at 11:00 a.m. . In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Wendy's memory to the Prince County Hospital Foundation or to Home Care, East Prince Division would be greatly appreciated. Visiting hours on Monday, 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 p.m. .

ABOUT US
In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
