Obituary of Shields, Jason William
The death occurred suddenly in Regina , Saskatchewan on Sunday, October 16th , 2011 of Jason William Shields of Summerside , P.E.I. aged 38 years. Beloved son of Muncey 'Rook' and Carolanne ( nee Arsenault ) Shields of Summerside. Also lovingly remembered by his sister Louanne ( Wayne ) Maddix , his grandmother Marguerite Arsenault and nephews Dylan and Logan, all of Summerside.
Jason was predeceased by his grandparents Wilfred and Irene Shields and William J. Arsenault.
Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Rd., Summerside until Monday, October 24th , then to St. Patrick's Church, Grand River for funeral mass at 10:30 a.m. . Interment to take place in the church cemetery. Memorial donations in Jason's memory to the St. Patrick's Church Building Fund would be greatly appreciated . Visiting hours on Sunday, 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 p.m. .

ABOUT US
In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
