Obituary of Williams, Harold "Shorty" Anderson
The death occurred at the Summerset Manor, Summerside on Friday, December 30th , 2011 of Harold 'Shorty' Anderson Williams of Summerside, P.E.I., aged 83 years. Shorty was born on January 30th, 1928 in Brighton , Michigan, U.S.A. to his late parents John & Cherrie ( nee Snowbond ) Williams.
Beloved husband of Brenda ( nee Sharpe ) Williams and loving father of Linda Boivin of Albernie, B.C., Sharon (Dennis) Shute of London, ON., Beth (Tolson) Clarke of N.S., Penny (Bob) Jazwinski of Cold Lake, AB., Cherrie Meloche of Ottawa, ON. and Harold 'Buddy' of Comox, B.C.. Also lovingly remembered by his 18 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
Besides his parents , Shorty was predeceased by his brothers Wesley and Eugune.
Resting at East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Road, Summerside until Wednesday, January 4th, for funeral service in the funeral home chapel at 11:00 a.m.. Visiting hours on Tuesday 2 - 4 & 7 - 9 p.m.. Memorial donations in Shorty's memory to the Alzheimer's Society would be greatly appreciated.

In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
