Obituary of Palmer, Lawrence " Deed " Frederick
The death occurred peacefully at the Wedgewood Manor, Summerside, P.E.I. on Wednesday, February 22nd , 2012 of Lawrence "Deed" Frederick Palmer of Summerside and formerly of Conway, P.E.I. in his 83rd year. Deed was born on November 26th , 1928 in Freeland, P.E.I. to his late parents, Guy and Myrtle ( nee Walsh ) Palmer.
Father of Gail Palmer of Charlottetown, Robert ( Lurlean ) of Summerside, Donna Blacquiere ( Lawrence ) of Summerside, John ( Susan ) of Vernon Bridge, Alan ( Gail ) of Summerside and Susan Singleton ( Brady ) of Cornwall. Also remembered by 7 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild. Survived by his brothers and sisters : Arlene Lane , Kathleen Lawson, Walter all of Dartmouth, N.S. and Fenton and Lillian Wagner of Conway.
Besides his parents, Deed was predeceased by brothers and sisters : Wallace , Ode, Dorothy , Daryll, Linda and George in infancy and his grandson Nicholas Lambe. By personal request there will be no visiting hours or funeral service held. A graveside committal service will be held at a later date in the Freeland Cemetery, Freeland. Memorial donations in Deed's memory to the Nicholas Lambe Bursary Fund would be greatly appreciated .

ABOUT US
In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
