Obituary of Gaudet, Rita Anne
Our beloved sister, Rita passed away on Wednesday, April 11th, 2012 at the Stewart Memorial Hospital, Tyne Valley after having suffered a debilitating stroke at the Victoria General Hospital in Halifax, N.S. in September 1996. Rita was born on July 12th, 1958 in Brantford , ON. to her late parents Ernest and Claudia ( nee Gallant ) Gaudet.
She will be greatly missed by her brothers and sister Ernest of Brantford, ON., Joanne ( Bill ) Webber of Paris, ON., Richard ( Joyce ) of Ottawa, ON., Robert ( Eileen ) of Brantford, ON., David ( Donna ) of Brantford, ON. as well as her aunts and uncles, but especially by her Uncle Richard and Aunt Noella of Wellington and her cousin Betty of Summerside ; numerous nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, Rita was predeceased by her sisters Mary, Lorraine, Rose, her brother Austin, sister-in-law Sharon and brother-in-law Reginald.
Resting at East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Road, Summerside until Saturday, April 14th , for a funeral service in the funeral home chapel at 1:30 p.m.. Interment to take place in St. Philippe and St. Jacques Church Cemetery , Egmont Bay. There will be no visiting hours by family request. Memorial donations in Rita's memory to the Stewart Memorial Hospital or the Heart & Stroke Foundation would be greatly appreciated.

ABOUT US
In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
