Obituary of Arsenault, Joseph Andrew " Earl "
The death occurred suddenly at his late residence on Wednesday , April 25th , 2012 of Joseph Andrew "Earl" Arsenault of Miscouche , P.E.I. , aged 58 years. Earl was born on October 1st, 1953 in Charlottetown , P.E.I. to his parents Alfred and Elva ( nee Gallant ) Arsenault of Miscouche .
Beloved common law spouse of Donalda "Dee" Wood. Also lovingly remembered by his brothers Melvin ( Linda ) of Indian River and Allan ( Marguerite ) of Fort McMurray, AB., his sisters Theresa ( Robert ) Landry of Wainwright, AB., Helen ( Michael ) Lucker and Denise of Ottawa, ON.. Also survived by his step-son Tristan Perry and step-granddaughter Madisen of Medicine Hat, AB. .
Earl was predeceased by his grandparents Andrew and Leonide Arsenault and Joseph C. and Edna Gallant , along with several aunts , uncles and cousins.
Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Rd., Summerside until Monday, April 30th for a funeral service in the funeral home chapel at 10:30 a.m. . Interment to take place in St. John the Baptist Cemetery, Miscouche. By personal request there will be no visiting hours held. Memorial donations in Earl's memory to the P.E.I. Council of the Disabled or the Canadian Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated .

In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
