Obituary of Arsenault, Bennett "Benny'
The death occurred peacefully at the Clinton View Lodge, P.E.I. on Tuesday September 14th, 2021 of Joseph Bennett "Benny" Arsenault of Kensington, aged 73 years. Benny was born in Summerside, P.E.I. to the late Arthur and Louise (nee Doucette) Arsenault.
Beloved husband of the late Beverly âBev' Anne (nee Clow) Arsenault and loving father of Cathy (Vance) Bridges. Also remembered by his 2 grandchildren Edward (Jill) Bridges and Jeffery Bridges.
Survived by his sisters Phyllis Cormier, Miscouche and Eileen (Nelson) Arsenault, Oshawa, ON.
Predeceased by his son Benny Jr. and brother Johnny Arsenault.
Resting at East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Rd., Summerside. Visiting hours and funeral service will be held in the Funeral Home Chapel, due to Covid Restrictions the service is by invitation only. Interment in St. Paul's Cemetery, Summerside. Memorial donations in Benny's memory can be made to the funeral expense fund.

In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
