Obituary of Osmond-Callaghan, Mary
The death occurred peacefully and surrounded by her loving family at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside, on Sunday, July 1st , 2012 of Mary Osmond-Callaghan ( nee Kean ) of Summerside, P.E.I. and formerly of Gander , Nfld. , aged 74 years. Mary was born on October 8th , 1937 in Pound Cove, Nfld. to her late parents Jesse and Violet ( nee Mullette ) Kean .
Beloved wife of James Louis Callaghan. Loving mother of Terry ( Judy ) Osmond of Wesleyville, Nfld. , Pam ( Arthur ) Cooper of Gander, Nfld., Duane ( Cathie ) Osmond of Summerside, Paula ( Paul ) Wolfe of Halifax, N.S., step-mother of Sandra ( Dale ) Callaghan of Lethbridge, AB., Nancy ( Christian ) Callaghan of Comox, B.C. , Barbara ( Ernest ) Callaghan of Summerside and Stephen ( Nicole ) Callaghan of Halifax, N.S. . Also lovingly remembered by her 13 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Survived by her brothers Garland ( Helen ) Kean and Maurice ( Marion ) Kean all of Wesleyville, Nfld. .
Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Road, Summerside until Friday , July 6th, for a funeral service in the funeral home chapel at 11:00 a.m. . Interment to take place in Floral Hills Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Valley. Memorial donations in Mary's memory to the Prince County Hospital Foundation would be greatly appreciated . Visiting hours on Thursday evening only , 6 - 9 p.m. .

ABOUT US
In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
