Obituary of O'Brien, Regrata Catherine

The death occurred peacefully at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside , P.E.I. on Sunday, August 5th, 2012 of Regrata Catherine O'Brien ( nee Gallant ) of Summerside, aged 90 years. Regrata was born on December 28th , 1921 in Alberton , P.E.I. to her late parents Rufus and Irene ( nee Dunn ) Gallant. Beloved wife of the late Jarvis O'Brien and loving mother of John ( Yvonne ) of Piusville, Russell ( Jane ) of Summerside, Norbert ( Judy ) of Summerside, Garth ( Fay ) of Emerald and Myrna ( Allison ) MacPherson of Fredericton, N.B.. Also lovingly remembered by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren , nieces and nephews. Survived by her sister Laurinda Myers of Miscouche , her brother Camillus Gallant of Summerside, her sister-in-law Amelia Gallant of Kensington and daughters-in-law Barb O'Brien and Donna Richard both of Summerside. Besides her parents and husband, Regrata was predeceased by her sons Jarvis in infancy, Ivan and Francis, her brother Ralph Gallant , her sister Millicent ( Russell ) Jefferies, her brother-in-law Edward Myers and sister-in-law Ruth Gallant. Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Rd., Summerside until Wednesday, August 8th , 2012 then to St. Paul's Church, Summerside for a funeral mass at 10:30 a.m. . Interment to take place in the church cemetery. Visiting hours on Tuesday , 2 - 4 & 7 - 9 p.m. .
