Obituary of Laffin, Myra Ann
The death occurred after a courageous battle with cancer at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Charlottetown, P.E.I. , on Friday, August 31st , 2012 of Myra Ann Laffin ( nee Allen ) of Charlottetown and formerly of Sydney, N.S. , aged 57 years. Myra was born on June 13th, 1955 in Summerside, P.E.I. to her mother , Zella ( nee Gallant ) Allen and her father, the late William Allen.
Beloved wife of the late David Laffin and loving mother of Meghan ( Doug ) Wood and Adam , all of Charlottetown. Survived by her brothers and sisters : Richard ( Sylvia ) Allen of Summerside, Gay Allen of Summerside, Sandra Harrison of Charlottetown and Patricia Allen ( Clare Jeffery ) of Rustico. Also lovingly remembered by her nieces, nephews, extended family and numerous friends.
Besides her husband and her father , Myra was predeceased by her sisters Joan-Ann and Nancy Faye and her brothers Kevin and William Jr. .
By personal request, there will be no funeral service held , however her family will celebrate her life on Tuesday evening , Sept. 4th at the East Prince Funeral Home , 245 Pope Road, Summerside from 7 - 9 p.m. . Memorial donations in Myra's memory to the I.W.K. Hospital or the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Palliative Care Unit would be greatly appreciated.

ABOUT US
In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
