Obituary of Olscamp, George Wilfred
The death occurred peacefully surrounded by his loving family at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Charlottetown, P.E.I. on Wednesday, September 29th, 2021 of George Wilfred Olscamp of Summerside, P.E.I., aged 102 years. George was born in Atholville, NB to the late George & Sarah (nee Keighan) Olscamp.
Beloved husband of the late Rita (nee Gallant) Olscamp and loving father of David (Mary), Lynda (Gerald) Fitzgerald, John, Judy (John) Driscoll and Paul (Valerie). Also lovingly remembered by his 11 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren.
Survived by his sister in-law Mildred Olscamp and many nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by his brothers Jim, John, Harry and Randy, sisters Thelma, Lois, Irene, Stella, Helen and Dora and daughter in-law Joan-Ann Olscamp.
Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Rd., Summerside. Due to Covid 19 restrictions a private funeral mass will be held. Interment to take place in St. Paul's Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in George's memory can be made to the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #5 George R. Pearkes Perputual Bursary.

ABOUT US
In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
