Obituary of Coughlin, Amos William
The death occurred peacefully at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside, on Thursday, October 25th, 2012 of Amos William Coughlin of Summerside and formerly of North Enmore, P.E.I., aged 75 years. Amos was born on January 7th, 1937 in Alberton, P.E.I. to his late parents Fred and Annie (nee Shaw) Coughlin.
Survived by the following brothers and sisters : Jessie Cameron of Milburn, Etta (Johnny) Doyle of Tignish, Betty Pye of Summerside, Freeman ( Mary) of Milburn, and Gerry (Mamie) of Milo.
Beside his parents Amos was predeceased by his brother Floyd, brothers-in-law Ernest Cameron and Nelson Pye.

In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
