Obituary of Blacquiere, Reginald Andrew
The death occurred peacefully at the Wedgewood Manor, Summerside , P.E.I. on Monday, December 10th, 2012 of Reginald Andrew Blacquiere of Summerside, P.E.I., aged 89 years. Reg was born on September 27th, 1923 in Summerside to his late parents, Archie and Judith ( nee Arsenault ) Blacquiere.
Loving father of Maurice ( Cheryl ) of Ottawa, ON., Barb ( Al ) Fister of Moose Jaw, Sk., Arnold ( Norma ) and Jimmy ( Irene ) all of Summerside and Gail ( Wayne ) Nicholls of Ottawa ,ON. . Also lovingly remembered by his son-in-Law Donald Campbell of Darnley and special friend Marjorie Coughlin along with 13 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Reg was predeceased by his first wife Mary Arsenault, his second wife Imelda Chace, son Gary, daughter Helen Campbell, great grandson Colby Blacquiere, brothers Medius, Joseph and Oscer and sisters Edna LeClair, Bella Arsenault and Julia Poirier.
Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Rd., Summerside until Thursday, December 13th, then to St. Paul's Church, Summerside for a funeral mass at 2:00 p.m. . Interment to take place in the church cemetery. Visiting hours on Wednesday evening only, 6 - 9 p.m. . Memorial donations in Reg's memory to the Wedgewood Manor Equipment Fund or to St.Paul's Cemetery Fund would be greatly appreciated.
Members of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch # 5, Summerside will hold a Service of Remembrance at the funeral home on Wednesday evening at 5:45 p.m..

ABOUT US
In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
